I don’t know if this has been confirmed or not but I do know the console community have been requesting a server browser. I wonder though if it has been ruled out as I hear some interesting things about the PC version. Some of you may know we will have Battlelog which looks like a cool web based feature of checking out stats uploading in real-time and tracking friends and enemies across multiple platforms. However Battlelog to my knowledge will not be accessed in game and on the PC you are required to have it open in a browser window while running BF3. The rumours floating about at the moment are that the actual PC server browser is not going to be in game it is actually found via the web browser while logged into Battlelog. Taking a browser out from within the game on one platform may not good for a in-game browser on consoles? Yes I wish they would bring it back.

Eurogamer report that to change servers in the middle of a session, we’ll have to Alt-tab out of the game, and then start another match from the Battlelog website. As if that wasn’t strange enough, console versions of Battlefield 3 WILL be getting an in-game server browser. Senior designer on Battlefield 3, Alan Kertz was talking about the system on Twitter.
Basic specs of my system and setup for game, Windows 10, wi-fi connected, I set When I first got BF3 on PC (Origin) I was really confused by the matchmaking.
Enlisted: I have tried countless times to get CO-OP working and it just doesn’t work, after starting a public matchmaking, the game loads up, but soon after it shortly exits on its own back to desktop, without ever presenting anything but the LOADING icon on the bottom right. And I sure as hell doubt there’s going to be a fix for it. But how hard could it be to just make all the CO-OP unlock weapons available for everyone now?
But maybe it is something on my end and CO-OP games still happen and people occasionally get their 6 unlocks within a short while of playing, I don’t know that, so I’m asking everyone else here, is CO-OP broken as hell now and not working, due to no one playing or whatever, or does it still work but its rare that out of 3 difficulty settings and about 5 levels that you manage to find an actual recipient for the public match?
I’ve never really had a problem getting into a public match, unless the other person got tired of waiting and quit before it loaded. Some people seem to be in the same boat as you, and can’t get it to work. I’ve done nothing special – my router still has UPNP enabled, I don’t shut down my antivirus when I play, and I use the windows firewall with rules to allow BF3 and associated programs access both ways. Some people seem to have better luck with invites and friends, but I’ve only ever used public matchmake.
I can tell you that you’d be hard pressed to find a public match on anything but easy. You might try keeping battlelog up when it’s launching. There are four status messages, and it would be helpful to know which ones you see.
Has any game been more inescapable over the past 12 months than Battlefield 3? A recently leaked image of the Battlefield 3 Battlelog has confirmed some new information regarding matchmaking. No wait This is great but what does it mean by in-game browser for consoles? I don’t want it to be like a popup or something. Will it be fully integrated into BF3? If this is legit, I’m liking it. Plenty of options to pick which is always nice. I like the layout, non-cluttered, looks easy to navigate, and no useless search filters. I’d like to see how it works when you have some kind of party with 3 of your buddies with, provided the matchmaking supports that.

I see BF3 is really cheap right now on steam and I want to buy it, but I want to see how the game holds up on PC in in terms of graphics and player-base.
Battlefield Heroes was less demanding on computer specifications than the previous games of the series to increase the audience base. Heroes was the first Battlefield game to be made under Electronic Arts ‘ new ” Play 4 Free ” model, which saw the game released for free with revenue generated from advertising and micropayments. Battlefield Heroes featured a modified conquest mode providing each team 50 lives and eventually one flag at the start of the round.
Killing enemies and holding more flags than the opposing army would progressively reduce their number of lives. The game also featured matchmaking, to keep players of the same level together. Developers of the game had talked about levels going as high as 40 or 50, although the level cap never rose higher than The game was third-person only, but senior producer Ben Cousins had stated if first-person is really wanted, it may have been added in at a later date.
Players did not pick spawn points since the game had an “Intelligent Spawn System” putting players closest to the nearest battle. Sometimes the player would be parachuted behind enemy lines. There was also a new mode called “Conquest V2.
Modern Warfare 3 is great. But why couldn’t they fix arguably the most complained about issue in all of gaming? If you were anything like me then you were counting the minutes until Modern Warfare 3 appeared. But then the brilliance of Battlefield 3 tempered those feelings. I am of course talking about the PC version here.
direct competition, Battlefield 3’s PC alternatives should have been competent. Instead, players were witnessing extreme amounts of lag, matchmaking issues.
While Battlefield 3 will be more polished on the PC with more benefits like graphics, FPS frame count not the genre and 64 player support but it is now confirmed that Battlefield 3 on the PC will use Battlelog to let you choose servers, basically you will have to pick a server from the web browser and then start the game.
While this may be cumbersome for the PC community the ALPHA did show off Battlelog pretty well and I have to say it did run well but in the long run it could be a bit of a nuisance. In an interesting turn of events it is now confirmed that Battlefield 3 will have an in-game server browser on the console version of the game but those of you on the PC will have to start a web browser, pick a server, start the game and then join the server.
This is a bit of an awkward situation for the PC gamers as it should be the other way around where the console version gets matchmaking similar to that of Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the consoles and the PC community should get the in-game server browser. I consider this a small price to pay for all the other benefits gained from the PC version of the game but an in-game server browser would have been more suited for such a magnificent game wouldn’t you agree?
Battlelog isn’t bad or anything but I mean a PC game without an in-game server browser just doesn’t feel right, don’t you guys agree?
August I can not connect to random players to play the coop missions but I can connect just fine to multiplayer servers and play all day. I’m not happy that coop is this broken.
Hi, I just got BF3 the other day and the matchmaking won’t work at all for me. I don’t have any anti-virus on my pc, so that’s definitely.
The ‘My Servers’ page is for all the servers you currently have rented out, not your ‘Favourite’ servers. I’m not sure what system your playing on but on PS3 to find your favourite servers go to the server browser then hit L1 or R1 to move across to ‘Favourites’ tab. It will be similar on Xbox anyway – use the top shoulder buttons to move across. Obviously on PC you can just click the tab.
One of the biggest games to come out last year, Battlefield 3, has been doing very well on the PC. The console version of the game, however, has had some issues with the matchmaking in the multiplayer mode due to shortage of servers. Developer of the game, DICE, has listened to the pleas of console gamers all over the world and is planning on increasing the amount of official DICE servers for console gamers. According to a post on the Battlefield blog , DICE has increased the amount of servers available to console gamers.
The blog states that the number of servers available to console gamers has now been quadrupled.

I still enjoy the game especially the Pacific stuff but I still miss the old style of battlefield before EA. Assassin’s Creed had that problem. But a battlefield type weapon should remain on the battlefield. Not in the hands of everyday civilians. AccuracyIsFinal I have seen this general statement.
